Doing it Jivana Style
Jivana Style's Ethnic greeting cards and gift range is the brainchild of Samantha Alfred. As well as designing all the products which include Indian style Wedding invitations and Desi gifts for Indians and multi-ethnic audiences, Sam has her ear to the ground, developing products as a direct response to the latest British Asian and multi-cultural trends seen in the UK - offering only high quality cards and gifts with no compromise on design.
Samantha Alfred, founder of Jivana Style, was invited by the Master of The Household to attend a reception hosted by Her Majesty the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace on October 13th 2009. The reception, held in advance of the State Visit of The President of the Republic of India, included a hand picked guest list of the nations top 300 Asian business men and women, British Asian comedians, TV presenters and actors, of which Jivana Style's Samantha Alfred was one. Arriving in a Rolls Royce, the evening kicked off with Bollywood dance entertainment, followed by champagne and canapés, after the Queen and Duke received and welcome each of their guests individually. Samantha commented "It was a privilege to be invited to Buckingham Palace, and an honour to be presented to Her Majesty the Queen and to talk about my business. The Queen made me feel so at ease and so interested in what I had to say! It was such an amazing evening meeting so many interesting people from the UK's British Asian business and media world."
